Jennifer Taylor and James Conner
Since the 1970s, Jennifer Taylor has established a reputation as an educator, architectural historian and critic in Australia and internationally. An Australian by birth, Taylor graduated from architectural studies in Seattle, United States, in 1969. She subsequently taught at the University of Sydney, while also conducting visiting professorships at many international universities. Taylor is currently based in Brisbane, where she has been Adjunct Professor at the Queensland University of Technology since 1998. James Conner is an architect and planner who, following initial degrees at the University of Sydney, gained his doctorate at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He then spent considerable time in practice as an architect, urban designer, planner and senior administrator with the Commonwealth Department of Works in Sydney and the National Capital Development Commission in Canberra. The last 20 years of his career were spent as an academic at the University of Sydney.
