Donovan Hill
Donovan Hill
Donovan Hill was established in 1992 by Brian Donovan and Timothy Hill. A commission the same year for a significant residence gave this fledgling practice a rare opportunity to realise their architectural vision, with the result — C House — being completed in 1998. The unanimous reception of C House as an extraordinary residential building confirmed Donovan Hill’s position as one of Australia’s leading architectural practices. Donovan and Hill continue to actively lead the design output of their office, now employing around 35 staff. Since 2000, the firm has increasingly worked on major institutional and public architecture alongside smaller-scale projects that allow them to explore interior, landscape and furniture design.
