Touch Me Someplace I Can Feel features the last interviews with this enigmatic icon before his death in 2010. At 21, the Canadian cartoonist and poetic provocateur John Callahan was left a quadriplegic after a drink driving accident. With limited movement, Callahan turned to cartooning to express his frustrations, keen observations and caustic wit. Seeing nothing as taboo, his outrageous political incorrectness — often featuring disability at its core — drew heavy fire and lavish praise.
Screens with Charles E Bastien and Sean V Jeffert’s Pelswick: Inherit the Wheeled 2002 (30mins) based on the original comic by John Callahan.
